A Whole New Animal

Gold spray paint has really been a game changer. Even a plastic animal figurines (cut in half, nonetheless) can become classy/interesting decor - as magnets, mounted in a frame, or even as a coat hook. I have to give Dac credit. He actually had this idea way before it hit the Pinterest world.
