Flower Power

It's been around 80 degrees and sunny this week in Kansas City. Doesn't seem quite right, but hey, I'll take it. People are so excited about it too... it's like a non-stop party everywhere you go. The spring floral trend is tempting me left and right, now that I'm really in the spring mood. Apparently the same goes for lots of other peeps, because that top above that I love from Anthro is already sold out.

This stuff isn't though...

1. Skinny Skinny Ankle Floral Jean: Madewell  2. Floral Bow Back Sun top: Topshop  3. Floral Racerback: Old Navy  4. Floral Belted Dress: Dorothy Perkins  5. Citizens of Humanity Floral Thompson: Anthro  6. Lobelia Bikini: Anthro  7. Floral Skimmer: Urban Outfitters

Also adore this Zara top:

I love how floral mixes so easily with other prints and patterns too. It's almost like the more you mix it with the cooler it looks. I especially love it with stripes:

Hope you're enjoying beautiful weather too!

"I Got the Rose"/"Winning"

Oh, Ben... everyone in America (ok, all of the girls who devoted a large portion of their Monday night to watch the Bachelor) is saying "I told you so." What did you think would happen when you picked this girl...

I do HAVE to admit that she was 100% a different person around Ben - and that by the end I could almost believe she actually loved him - but come ON. Up until the final three the girls were warning you - even the sweet ones who've probably never said a bad thing about anyone else. But I guess in this case being a model and a skank (I think this is fair to say after she snuck over to Ben's, when there were still a lot of girls there, for a surprise skinny dipping session that she then bragged about to the cameras for the rest of the show) really did equal "winning."

Was anyone surprised that they had broken up before "After the Final Rose"? This had something to do with it (even though he says it's not true):

And somehow even after all the crazy stuff she pulled she somehow manipulated the audience into being mad at BEN towards the end. I'm mad at him too though I guess - really bad judgment. My prediction? They will break up again within the next two weeks. Keep an eye on US Weekly.

I don't know what it is that, no matter who is the Bachelor/Bachelorette, I get sucked in. Well, I'm definitely happy to have my Monday nights back!

Just saw this quote on Pinterest:

Whoops. That's a good one to keep in mind going forward. ;)

A Home for Lil Homey

Time to start putting together a nursery for Baby Wendel!  I am so excited to work on the baby's room and make it a comfortable, happy place for us and for the miniature version of us.  I've been saving inspiration nurseries for a while, here are some of my favorites:

Hoppy Easter

We're exactly a month out from Easter... so it's time to head to your nearest Hallmark and pick one of these up before they all run out:

It's even better in person - this video really doesn't do the "squawkin', egg-doppin' hen" justice. You probably also need Sir Hopsalot - a posable bunny made from organic wool via forestblue's shop on Etsy:

Has Easter decor ever been this fun? Here are a couple other goodies from West Elm that are awesome:

And I can't fail to mention all of the Peter Rabbit stuff happening at Pottery Barn Kids. Could there be a cuter kids' table setting? My room was decorated with Peter Rabbit stuff from birth until, oh, high school maybe? So, thanks to my mom's love for him, this rabbit in the blue jacket has a special spot in my heart.

Squawk, there it is!

Better Than Ice Cream

A long time ago (I think I was 18?) I was walking through the freezer section of the grocery with a friend and told him that I just wanted to find a boy that I loved more than ice cream.  He laughed, but assured me that some day it would happen.  I still love ice cream as much as I ever did, but I love Henry more; lucky me.

Speaking of love and ice cream, if you haven't tried Edy's (Or Dreyer's in some regions) Girl Scout Cookie ice cream, you should really jump on that!  They are only available January-April.

The Samoa is by far the best...they make regular and light - the light is better.  The doctor called yesterday to let me know that my calcium levels are too low; this sounds like a problem that ice cream can fix!
