Go, Go Jason Waterfalls

Sometimes it's more fun to sing the wrong words to a song, as long as you sing them with confidence. Here are some lyric mishaps I've run into:

1. Tiny Dancer - Elton John
My lyric: Hold me closer Tony Danza. Real lyric: Hold me closer tiny dancer.
Ok this one I just think is funny - don't think I ever thought those were the words.

2. Dark Days Are Over - Florence and the Machine
My lyric: My dog days are over

3. Paradise - Coldplay
Dac's lyric: Pillow touch. Real lyric: Paradise.
Now "pillow touch" is all I hear when I listen to that song. And he was just saying it to be funny. "What are they saying? Pillow touch?" Speaking of pillows, these are some I would like to touch...

4. Waterfalls - TLC
My lyric: Go, go Jason Waterfalls.  Real lyric: Don't go chasin' waterfalls.
I really did think those were the lyrics.

5. Dynamite - Taio Cruz
My lyric: Sayin' ayo. Galileo.  Laney's lyric (my 5-year-old niece): Sayin' ayo. Baby lego.
Real lyric: Sayin' ayo. Gotta let go.
Taio Cruz really outsmarted all of us on this one.

6. Dude Looks Like a Lady - Aerosmith
My lyric: Do it like a lady.
Mrs. Doubtfire was one of my fave movies at one point, and I loved this song in there. Apparently I didn't ever quite get how perfect the song was for the movie.

7. Like a Prayer - Madonna
My lyric: Lepiquarsy. Real lyric: Let the choir sing.
What does lepiquarsy mean exactly? No idea. But I would belt that word out like it made perfect sense.

Dac also made up a fun rendition of "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga called "Just Plants." You should ask him to sing it for you.

Any lyric mixups of your own to share?

  3. My mom thought the gwen stefani song "Ain't no hollar back girl" was "aint no harm in that girl." I laughed so hard the first time I heard her belt that out.
