Happy Hearts Day! I'm looking forward to a cozy night in with my valentine. There is finally snow on the ground in KC, which makes a night cooking dinner together sound all the better.
On another note, I wanted to share a new love of mine - the headboard that just got here for our guest bed. We're not investing much in this guest bedroom since we're only in this apartment for a short time, but we needed to do something to make it feel a little less like the room that collects all of the stuff we can't fit anywhere else (really, you should see the closet!). I already had a frame for the bed so wasn't in the market for a full bed. I looked around quite a bit and am mostly just shocked at how expensive just a headboard can be, pretty much anywhere. I considered a couple different ones from West Elm, and then my mom suggested Overstock.com. I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up getting this guy for $190 (the bed is a full), with no tax and no shipping (the best part)!
Here it is on the bed. The quilt is on loan from Katie, since I'm one of those people who changes my mind about bedding in each new place I live.
